This presentation will be a live demo highlighting the many new features of both 4.1 and v4.2. Topics to include: Excel and Free Hand SQL as a data provider, Large numbers, grouping, Input Control enhancements, Prompt Variants, Grouped Input Controls, Shared Elements, Referencing, Calculation enhancements, Concurrent processing of queries, and merging on local variables. It will also include new features in the IDT. Changes within the service packs will also be addressed.

This live demo will provide an in-depth look at building universes with the IDT. It will include defining a project, creating connections, building the data foundation, adding a business layer, and security. It will include best practices as well!
1:30 – 2:30 pm – Validating the Migration of Your Business Objects Reports with 360Bind – Doug Evans, InfoSol Inc.
In this session we will demonstrate the power of 360Bind to assist in the migration of your Business Objects Reports by providing the ability to create report bind tasks, launch and schedule the tasks, monitor the results of the report processing, export bind tasks to another Business objects environment to be launched and run report comparisons between two business objects environments for detection of non-matching reports and aid in troubleshooting.

This presentation will be a live demo of how to add multiple data providers to a document. New data provider types will also be covered, including Excel and Free Hand SQL. It will include an in-depth look at merging, and the various options associated with merging. It will also include a section on the various uses of Excel files in WebIntelligence document. The presentation It will include tips and tricks and best practices.
