While SAP Information Steward is the primary tool for data profiling, technical data profiling can actually be done directly in Data Services. In this session you will see through demonstration how you can go beyond simple viewing of the data to actually conducting a thorough analysis of your data. This in turn provides you with great information to building better jobs in Data Services. You will see how the data profiling process will produce a statistical analysis that includes Frequency Distribution, Distinct Values, Null Values, Minimum / Maximum Values, Data Patterns, Comparisons of values between data sets and Drill-down capabilities to view specific records.

This session will look at various challenges and costs of content chaos within a BI environment, considerations for developing a system storage strategy for overcoming that chaos, and effective use of technologies which target the reduction and containment of content growth.

1:30 – 2:30 pm Mobilizing your Xcelsius Dashboards

We will explore how to effectively turn an Xcelsius Dashboard into a mobile HTML5 equivalent. When designing the dashboard, you need to keep in mind that on mobile devices you won’t have the pinpoint precision selection of a mouse, but rather users will be using their fingers. We will investigate how you can determine which dashboard components are mobile compatible and see how a converted dashboard can be accessed in different ways.

02:45 – 3:30 pm Building Master Detail Reports in Webi v4.1 SP6

This presentation will show you how to create master detail reports in v4.1. It will highlight those features that have changed from v3.1. It will also provide some great tips and techniques that can be applied to master detail reports, including hiding blocks, sections and objects, and conditional formatting.
