9:00 – 10:00am What’s New in v4.1 SP 7 – Michael Ward, CTTS

This presentation will be a live demo highlighting the many new reporting features through v4.1 SP 7. It will include comparisons to what has changed from v3.1. Topics will be presented in a live demo.

10:15 – 11:30am Data Profiling in Data Services – Doug Evans, InfoSol Inc.

While SAP Information Steward is the primary tool for data profiling, technical data profiling can actually be done directly in Data Services. In this session you will see through demonstration how you can go beyond simple viewing of the data to actually conducting a thorough analysis of your data. This in turn provides you with great information to building better jobs in Data Services. You will see how the data profiling process will produce a statistical analysis that includes Frequency Distribution, Distinct Values, Null Values, Minimum / Maximum Values, Data Patterns, Comparisons of values between data sets and Drill-down capabilities to view specific records

12:45 – 1:30pm Creating Calculations In WebIntelligence v4.1: From Basic to Context! – Michael Ward, CTTS

This session will cover the basics of creating calculations up through the most advanced features. It will include creating formulas, converting to variables, and creating variables directly. It will include an in-depth look at the function library, including many of the new functions. The presentation will also include a detailed look at utilizing dates in your calculations as well as more advanced features. The presentation will consist of a live demo of all topics covered.

1:30 – 2:30pm Reduce 80% of your SAP BusinessObjects Migrations Timelines and Budget Using 360Suite – Christoper Ochin, GB&Smith

In this presentation, we’ll look at how you can use the 360Suite to tackle common SAP BI upgrade and migration challenges. Run pre-migration audit: query and analyze BOE repository/Track inactivity of the platform, duplicated reports, etc./Follow evolution of the production platform during the migration/ Analyze and clean documents and universes structure/Automate reports regression testing/ Bulk update Webi report universes from UNV to UNX/ Setup and compare security.

02:45 – 3:30 pm Mobilizing Your Xcelsius Dashboards – Doug Evans, InfoSol Inc.

We will explore how to effectively turn an Xcelsius Dashboard into a mobile HTML5 equivalent. When designing the dashboard, you need to keep in mind that on mobile devices you won’t have the pinpoint precision selection of a mouse, but rather users will be using their fingers. We will investigate how you can determine which dashboard components are mobile compatible and see how a converted dashboard can be accessed in different ways.
