Learn how Tableau can connect to Business Objects reports via InfoBurst. Deployment and scheduling of BO content to Tableau will be demonstrated. The use cases for Tableau dashboards with BO content will be discussed. And if we have time we may look at bursting out Tableau workbooks as well.

This presentation will be a live demo highlighting the many new features of both 4.1 and v4.2. Topics to include: Excel and Free Hand SQL as a data provider, Large numbers, grouping, Input Control enhancements, Prompt Variants, Grouped Input Controls, Shared Elements, Referencing, Calculation enhancements, Concurrent processing of queries, and merging on local variables. It will also include new features in the IDT. Changes within the service packs will also be addressed.

The Information Design Tools or IDT is a new semantic layer modeling tool from SAP. But the Universe Design Tool or UDT is still being supported and delivered as part of BI Client tools. What are the advantages of using IDT versus UDT? What are the new features and benefits in creating an IDT UNX Universe? What do I do with my old UNV universes? This session will address all of the above questions. The steps to create an IDT universe and its differences from UDT will be demonstrated.

- Creating other block types
- Creating master/detail reports
- Creating Section totals
- Applying conditional formatting
- Hiding blocks in a master/detail report
