9:00 – 10:00 am Integration of BusinessObjects and Tableau – Michael Ward, CTTS

An increasing number of organizations using BusinessObjects are also using Tableau both for data discovery and data visualization solutions. Many would like to leverage their investment in their BusinessObjects deployment to automatically feed qualified data into Tableau. This fascinating presentation discusses some of the options now available for integrating your BusinessObjects content into Tableau.

10:15 – 11:30am What’s New in v4.1 SP 6/v4.2 SP3 – Michael Ward, CTTS

This presentation will be a live demo highlighting the many new features of both 4.1 and v4.2. Topics to include: Excel and Free Hand SQL as a data provider, Large numbers, grouping, Input Control enhancements, Prompt Variants, Grouped Input Controls, Shared Elements, Referencing, Calculation enhancements, Concurrent processing of queries, and merging on local variables. It will also include new features in the IDT. Changes within the service packs will also be addressed.

12:45 – 1:30 pm HTML5/Mobile Dashboarding from SAP Dashboards Case Study – Amy O’Neel, InfoSol Inc.

SAP Dashboards has been creating dashboards for years now and its usability evolved to producing HTML5 code for mobile or desktop viewing. This presentation will walk through a case study for presenting a financial application and another case study for presenting a management application that both used the user-friendly SAP Dashboards tool to provide the same user experience for desktop and mobile viewers.

1:30 – 2:30 pm Multiple data providers: It’s A Whole New World – Michael Ward, CTTS

This presentation will be a live demo of how to add multiple data providers to a document. New data provider types will also be covered, including Excel and Free Hand SQL. It will include an in-depth look at merging, and the various options associated with merging. It will also include a section on the various uses of Excel files in WebIntelligence document. The presentation It will include tips and tricks and best practices.

02:45 – 3:30 pm URL Linking to BusinessObjects reports via OpenDocument – Amy O’Neel, InfoSol Inc.

Organization use URL links to BO reports for integrating BO with other applications, providing their own simple report portals and for enhancing the user experience from summary to detail reporting. This session will explore using the OpenDocument.jsp syntax in URLs for all these reasons. We’ll also dive deep into creating an object in your universe with the linking embedded, discuss options to make the link universal across different environments and touch on passing a session or setting up the web application for SSO (Single Sign On).
