CLEMIS (Courts Law Enforcement Management Information Systems) provides technical applications through a cooperative effort that are affordable and efficient for criminal justice, public safety, animal control, and fire agencies of all sizes. We are required to comply with CJIS (criminal justice information services) security policies and as such have provided agencies with equipment that is managed 24×7, has limited access, and is restricted to an intranet-only network in order to reduce the risk of viruses, etc. As a result, the only way for command staff to view dispatch activity, was to have a CLEMIS-provided PC. The CAD dashboard allows command staff and others a quick and easy way to review the time-sensitive data produced in the dispatch center without knowing how to operate the CAD (computer aided dispatch) application or being attached to the CAD network and without the need for expensive equipment. In addition, the dashboard allows the command staff the ability to drill into the detail of the CAD priorities and even map the incidents. This presentation will walk through how we developed the CLEMIS CAD dashboard.
